Silver Bullet, a saloon slot with no card letters

For once, the old page got the basics right. Silver Bullet is an older 5-reel, 9-line game, and it doesn't have free spins or a bonus round. It also doesn't use playing-card symbols, which is rarer than you'd think.

The saloon shelf

Every symbol is an object from a western town, drawn on cream tiles:

• Horse's head and a green money note, 100 for five
• Horseshoe, pipe and wagon wheel, 150
• Cowboy hat, whisky bottle and red lucky seven, 200
• Bomb with a lit fuse, 500
• Barrel, 10,000

The barrel is by far the biggest payer, and it's the only symbol that pays for a single one on a line (2). The whisky, the seven and the bomb pay for two.

Badge and revolver

The wild is a gold sheriff's star, and the note beside it says it will "substitute for all symbols and double all win". The scatter is a revolver on a pink badge, paying 1 for two, 5 for three, 10 for four and 100 for five anywhere on the reels.

Nine lines, drawn out

The first screenshot shows the nine lines in different colours, so you can see how the zigzags run. Numbered tabs from 1 to 9 sit on both sides. The other shots show small wins, 0.06 to 0.18, on a 0.09 spin.

The old page also listed "cash" and "a pistol" among the symbols. The cash is the green money note. The pistol is the scatter.
