Ice Cave, where the wilds freeze in place
Vikings, longships, runes and wilds that stay frozen on the screen until a hammer breaks them. The Ice Cave rules on Lpe88, from its intro screen and four spins.
Ice Cave has the look of a Norse saga: stone runes for the low symbols, and a Valkyrie, a helmeted jarl, a black wolf, a raven and a longship with red and white sails for the high ones. The mechanics are more interesting than the theme, and the intro screen explains them clearly.
Ice Wilds and the Hammer
There are two wilds. The Ice Wild multiplies winnings by 3x and then freezes on the screen, staying put spin after spin. It only thaws when the Hammer Wild lands. The Hammer also multiplies winnings by 3x and removes every Ice Wild from the screen.
So the game builds up. Each Ice Wild that lands makes later spins a little more likely to pay, until the hammer resets things.
Feature Bet
A red FEATURE BET button sits to the right of the reels, set to OFF in all our shots. The intro screen says it enables extra Ice Wild symbols on reel five. The old page said it costs an extra 50% per spin. That's plausible for this kind of button, but our screens don't show the price, so check the total bet before and after you switch it on.
Four spins at RM0.10
Our spins run 10 lines at RM0.01 each. An Ice Wild shows up on reel 3 in one spin, and the spin after it pays RM0.02 with the Ice Wild still in the same spot, which is the freeze at work. The balance moves from RM49.75 to RM48.67 over the sequence, so there were more spins between shots than we have pictures of.
