Penguin Vacation and its ice-fishing bonus
A penguin wild that stacks on every reel and an ice hole scatter that opens a small fishing game. Penguin Vacation is one of the better-explained slots on 3Win8.
Unlike a lot of the old 3Win8 pages, this game's help screen does most of the explaining itself. Penguin Vacation is a 20-line slot on snowy blue reels, with a penguin in a scarf as the wild and a hole in the ice as the scatter.
The penguin
The wild substitutes for all symbols except the scatter, and it comes stacked on all reels, so a full column of penguins is possible anywhere. When it substitutes in a win, that win is doubled. Five penguins on a line pay 10,000 on their own, four pay 2,500, three 250 and two 10.
Going fishing
The scatter is a round hole cut in the ice, with a float bobbing in it. Two pay 2 times, three 5, four 20 and five 500, and they pay in any position. Three or more also start the Fishing Bonus.
It works in two steps. First you get 8 free games with a x2 multiplier. Then a small screen shows a penguin at an ice hole, and you fish twice. Each catch adds either extra free games or a higher multiplier. The top end, according to the pay table, is 33 free games and x15. During the free games, three or more ice holes add another 15 games at the same multiplier, and the help says this can keep happening.
The old page mentioned a penguin family paying 750 times and a 10,000 line bonus for five wilds. We only have the wild's own numbers, so we'll leave the family out.
Bet and lines
Lines go from 1 to 20 with plus and minus buttons, and BET is per line. At 20 lines and 0.10 a spin costs 2.00. In the other shot, 5 lines at 0.04 (0.20 a spin) pay 0.08 on line 5 from a pair of nines. The frozen fish, the suitcases and the icy card letters make up the rest of the reels.
