Golden Rooster 88, where the bet decides which symbols count

First, the name. The old site called it Golden Roaster, the game's banner says Golden Rooster 88, and either way it's a slot about a lucky rooster. Nothing to do with cockfighting.

Bet on symbols, not lines

The reels say REEL WAYS down the side, so wins count left to right on adjacent reels rather than on fixed lines. What changes the bet is the column on the left: 1 GOLD SYMBOL for 8 credits, 2 for 18, 3 for 38, 4 for 68 and 5 for 88. Above it, an ACTIVE SYMBOLS box shows which picture symbols are switched on at your level, with an ALL UP label beside them. In games built this way, a symbol that isn't active doesn't pay, so the cheapest level also means fewer picture symbols that can win.

In these screenshots it's always 1 gold symbol with the multiplier at x0.10, and TOTAL BET reads 0.80.

What lands

Picture symbols are a red rooster in a gold ring, a silver ingot, a round green jade disc, a string of copper coins and a gold coin stamped 招財進寶. A red diamond with an upside-down 福 shows up too. The letters A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 fill the gaps. In one spin three green nines pay 0.50, and a strip at the top shows exactly which way paid, "1 WAY".

On the right are four locked meters, GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI, with a rooster beside each. A GAMBLE button sits at the bottom right, next to the home button.

One screenshot shows three Golden Rooster 88 cabinets, each with an open treasure pot on top. It's probably the loading or feature screen, but there's no label to say which.
