A white rooster in a red frame is the lucky symbol in this Chinese New Year slot. There's no cockfighting anywhere in it, just roosters, coins and firecrackers on red and gold. The old text got excited about a "lucky cock" bringing jackpots, and that was about all it said.
The bet and the active symbols
The bottom panel reads GOLD SYMBOL 48, PLAY 1, TOTAL PLAY 48. Above the reels a bar labelled ACTIVE SYMBOLS holds four icons: rooster, green jade, silver ingot and firecrackers. The side panels say ALL WAYS, and in this spin three gold coins in a row from the left paid 20. A purple tile with a gold Fu character landed in the middle, and a round medallion that turns out to be the scatter sat on reel one.
Every symbol in two versions
Every picture symbol comes in pairs. Gold rooster pays 500 for five, the plain one 50. Gold jade 400, gold ingot 250, gold firecrackers 150, each with a plain twin at 50. The coin pays 100, the cards 50. Under SCATTER, five pay 20 free games and four pay 15, for three or more in a row from the left of either the medallion or the Fu tile.
