Genie, where the lamp is both wild and trigger

A joke about what you'd wish for filled most of the old page, followed by a description of a stormy purple sky that doesn't match the screen. The actual game sits in a red and gold palace hall, with purple reels and a lot of gold letters.

Palace symbols

The biggest picture is a young man in a white turban, 1,000 for five on a line. After him come a scowling guard in a red turban at 600, a flying carpet at 400 and a curved scimitar at 200. The low end is ornate letters, A, K, Q, J and 10, from 150 down to 25.

One lamp, two jobs

The lamp is the only special symbol, and it covers both roles. It substitutes for everything, and three or more of them landing start the free games. It also pays by itself: 2 for three, 40 for four, 100 for five.

This is the same setup as a well-known family of "book" slots, only with a lamp.

The expanding symbol

At the start of the free games, the game picks one regular symbol at random. The pay table uses the 10 as its example. For the rest of the round, whenever that symbol lands it expands to fill all 3 positions on its reel, and it pays in any position on the lines you're playing, not only left to right from reel 1.

In the screenshot above, scimitars light up across the first two reels with a sparkle effect for a 0.12 win. Which symbol gets picked matters: the guard pays far more than the 10 when it spreads.
