Gladiator Jackpot, two bonuses and one big meter
Gladiator Jackpot has two ways into a bonus: Coliseum scatters for one, three silver helmets for the jackpot round. What the NTC33 screens show.
This one is based on the 2000 film, and it shows. The picture symbols are portraits of the film's characters, soldiers in armour and robed older men among them, set on a dark stone frame. Because those are real actors' likenesses, we've described the NTC33 screenshots here rather than showing them.
What the reels look like
Five reels and three rows, with big gold card symbols (9, 10, J, Q, K, A) taking up most of the space. The character portraits are the higher symbols. Two symbols matter more than the rest: a Coliseum picture marked SCATTER, and a silver gladiator helmet.
The message strip above the reels switches between two lines, and together they explain the game's features:
- "3 or more [Coliseum] starts the Coliseum bonus"
- "3 x [helmet] starts the Gladiator Jackpot bonus"
The old page talked about a Coliseum bonus wheel. The screens don't show what happens inside either bonus, so we'll leave it at the trigger.
The jackpot meter
In the top right corner a meter reads JACKPOT, and in 2019 it sat at around RM6,449,816, creeping up by a few sen from one screenshot to the next. It's a progressive pot, fed by bets from many players. The three-helmet round is the way in, but a meter that size tells you how rarely it's paid out.
The old-style panel
The panel is from Playtech's older layout: a coin selector marked "Click to change" at RM0.01, a Spins counter set to 10, Lines at 1, Line Bet RM0.01 and Total Bet RM0.01. Underneath are Info, Auto Start, Lines, Bet Per Line, Bet Max and Spin. The Spins box is for auto play, so check it before you press Auto Start.
