Ri Ri Sheng Cai (日日生财) and its gold symbols
The more coins you play, the more symbols turn gold and the more jackpots you can reach. That's the whole design of Ri Ri Sheng Cai, spelled out on its intro screen.
日日生财 translates roughly as "make money every day", a phrase you'll see on shop banners at Chinese New Year. The slot matches the mood: red and gold everywhere, a treasure bowl overflowing with coins at the top, and four chubby lucky children holding the jackpot meters in the corners.
The intro screen tells you most of it
Before the reels load, a three-panel screen explains the game, and it's more useful than the old page was. The first panel shows the regular symbols with their gold versions above them and says that playing more coins switches on higher-paying gold symbols and more progressive jackpots. The middle one shows a money tree and says "Choose your free games. Up to 18 free games. Up to x18 multiplier." The third shows the four progressive jackpots and says a coin medallion "anywhere on the reels may trigger a jackpot win".
Coins and gold symbols
This is the part to understand before you spin. The bet isn't only a stake. It also decides how much of the game is switched on. The old page listed six levels: 8, 18, 38, 68, 78 or 88 coins. At the top level, it said, gold oranges, frogs and other symbols pay far more than their plain versions. In the screenshots the coin value is RM0.01. At 8 coins a spin costs RM0.08, and at 88 coins it's RM0.88.
The catch is plain. Most of the gold symbols and jackpots are only there if you pay eleven times more per spin. It's a design that nudges you towards the higher bet, so decide your stake before the game decides it for you.
Reels and symbols
The grid is five reels by three rows with 243 ways, marked on the side panels. The regular symbols are a red gift ribbon, a pair of oranges, a koi, a jade frog, a silver ingot and the round coin medallion, plus 9, 10, J, Q, K and A. A small win of RM0.10 shows in the last screenshot, at the 8-coin level.
